Golli Goth

Privacy

Privacy, in plain words

This site only asks for details from adults. There are two kinds of form here:

  • Maker applications ask for your role, display name, initials, email, and — if you choose — your licence interest, location, links and a note about your making.
  • Book news sign-ups ask for an email address, an optional first name, and what kind of reader you are.

We never knowingly collect information from children. Every form asks you to confirm you are 18 or older. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us through the Golli Goth Facebook page and we will delete them.

How we use it

Application details are used to review your application, assign your code and run the registry. If you’re approved, your display name, code, role, licence type and location (if given) may appear publicly in the registry, so buyers can see who made, designed or created a doll. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Sign-up emails are used to tell you when Golli Goth books are released, and for the occasional note from the Makerverse. We don’t sell or share your details. You can ask to be removed at any time.

Where it’s kept

Your details are stored securely with our database provider. This site doesn’t use advertising trackers. It remembers your light or dark mode choice in your own browser, and that’s all.

The law

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988, and with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for visitors from the United States.
