One doll, every piece, one fat quarter
The Golli Goth base doll is a personal-use pattern: a bald calico rag doll with oversized feet, ready for whatever face, hair and wardrobe you give her.
The sheet carries every pattern piece with the darts marked (A–E), the order of assembly, and the Maker & Designer Guidelines.
The pattern is printed on a 45 × 30 in fat quarter by Spoonflower, ready to cut and sew.

Fabric
Calico, cotton or hemp
Choose your preferred calico, cotton or hemp. Backed curtain calico, or something similar, gives a sturdier doll that stands up to years of cuddles.
Golli is bald by design. Her personality lives in her eyes: two large black shapes, painted or appliquéd, made personal to the person she’s for.

Assembly
Putting her together
Fourteen steps, in the order printed on the pattern. Take your time with the feet.
- Sew all the darts — except the arm dart. Leave that one open.
- Sew the front arm to the back arm, keeping the arm dart open.
- Attach each foot top to the front leg at the ankle.
- Sew the centre front body seam.
- Attach the head front to the body front.
- Fold the ear pieces along the dashed lines and tack-stitch them. Tack each ear to the side of the head front, with the base of the ear level with the base of the eyes.
- On the back pieces, seam 1.5 cm (½ in) at the back neck and 3 cm (1 in) at the lower back. Leave the centre back open so you can stuff her later.
- Attach the head back to the back body.
- Sew front to back from shoulder to shoulder. This takes in the whole head seam.
- Set the arms into the shoulder sections. Check the thumbs are facing forward — it’s easier than unpicking.
- Sew the side seams from under the arm down to the ankle.
- Sew the inside leg seam, ankle to ankle.
- Now the tricky bit: tack each sole in place, then stitch the sole to the foot top.
- Turn her right side out, fill with fibre filling, and stitch the back seam closed.
